PENNSYLVANIA, USA — As the temperatures drop, the cost to heat your home with gas will soon increase.
UGI Utilities Inc. announced Wednesday that a gas rate increase will go into effect on December 1.
As a result, the bill for the average home heating customer will increase 0.9%, raising their total average monthly bill from $118.43 to $119.49.
Those struggling to pay their heating bills can find resources on UGI's website or call UGI at 1-800-UGI-WARM to learn whether they are eligible for energy assistance programs.
UGI can also help eligible customers apply for federally funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grants when the application process opens on December 3.
