Much of Michigan is under high wind warnings or advisories because of a winter storm that could create wind gusts up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

A high wind warning is in effect in west Michigan through 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27. In west Michigan, southwest Michigan, northern Michigan, southeast Michigan and the thumb, wind advisories are in place, some through 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 or 4 a.m. or 7 a.m. Nov. 27.
