The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office released the identities of three people killed in a fire last week.

Three people were found dead in the fire, including a child. The sheriff’s office identified them as Millie Ann Krebs, 8; Mary Catherine Justus, 36; and Christopher Malaki Evans, 26.

Shortly after the fire, the Maysville R-1 School District posted a letter from Superintendent Chris Hodge, confirming that an elementary student had died in the house fire.

The district offered counseling and support for anyone struggling to navigate the loss.

Officials have not yet shared information on the cause of the fire.
