INGLEWOOD – The Inglewood City Council is seeking to increase residents’ water rates during a scheduled public hearing on December 16, but property owners have a chance to stop it.
Under the direction of Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr . the members of the city council – Gloria Gray (District 1), Alex Padilla (District 2), Eloy Morales Jr. (District 3) and Dionne Faulk (District 4) – are forbidden from telling the public how the City has accumulated multi-million dollar deficits in its Water and Trash Funds.
The mayor and the council owe the residents answers on how these deficits have grown unchecked while they continue to spend lavishly as if the City isn’t under financial constraints. Marvin McCoy
