Three projects in the Okanagan are among those to receive funding from a program that celebrates and preserves heritage in B.C.
Almost $500,000 has been awarded in support of 30 heritage projects province-wide. “We truly wish more projects could have been supported,” Heritage BC chairman Keri Briggs said in a release.
“We will continue to advocate for the resources required to preserve the heritage that enriches our community and strengthens our province.”
The Penticton and District Community Arts Council has received funding to design and install outdoor interpretive signs to clearly identify Leir House as a public cultural site and share its history year-round. An initial run of 1,000 informational brochures will also be produced and distributed.
