Wonder — known for its food halls across the U.S. that boast a rotating menu of food including barbecue, Italian, Mexican, salads and bowls inspired by famous chefs — is laying off 121 employees in Englewood in February, public filings show.

The layoffs will affect Wonder’s food assembly technicians, as well as sanitation workers, according to the public notice from the New Jersey Department of Labor dated Nov. 21.

They go into effect Feb. 26, 2026 and mean an end for the chain's Englewood operations, which are not public-facing like its restaurant-style food halls.

Wonder, which first opened in 2018, recently opened a location in Hackensack at The Print House, which is the former headquarters of The Record .
