(WNDU) - Thousands of people across Michiana are reportedly without power as we continue to see windy conditions.

According to Indiana Michigan Power , nearly 1,000 customers in Berrien County are without power while more than 350 people in St. Joseph County are left in the dark. I&M expects most power to be restored in St. Joe County by around 2 p.m. and in Berrien County by around 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, NIPSCO is reporting nearly 5,000 outages across its coverage area. with the majority of them concentrated in the northwest region. As for WNDU’s viewing area, there are more than 400 outages are being reported in the Winona Lake area.
