ABC World News Tonight was the only evening newscast to grow in both total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo for the week of November 17.

With ABC News’ evening news program available across all distributors, it posted its largest lead over NBC Nightly News in the demo in five weeks. Unfortunately, NBC News’ broadcast was the only one to post week-to-week declines in both measured categories.

Note: The weekly averages of ABC World News are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday). Monday’s (11/17/25) broadcast was retitled to WNT-ABC due to the NFL. This broadcast is excluded from the weekly and season averages.

According to national live+same-day big data plus program ratings from Nielsen, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir averaged 7.939 million total viewers and 995,000 Adults 25-54
