The 2025 New Jersey boys soccer season has officially come and gone and there have been plenty of surprise results and surprise teams along the way.

One team — St. Benedict’s — left no doubt about where they stack up among the state’s best as the Gray Bees were ranked No. 1 wire-to-wire. But beyond that, there was far much more uncertainty.

A total of 35 different teams spent at least one week ranked this season, with nearly two-thirds of those being public schools.

Four different teams knocked on the door of the No. 1 spot, including for the last three weeks a public school in West Orange, which finishes as the state’s top-ranked public school at No. 2.
