SPENCER, W.Va. — Roane General Hospital has been recognized as West Virginia’s 2025 Community Star, an award administered by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health’s (NOSORH) Community Stars Program. The award, which highlights an organization's lasting impact on rural health, coincided with the National Rural Health Day celebration on November 20.

The recognition honors individuals and organizations whose "leadership, innovation, and commitment have advanced access to care and improved health outcomes in rural communities."
