FARGO — Tim Polasek probably won’t get mistaken for Leonardo DiCaprio anytime soon, although DiCaprio’s movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” was brought to the attention of the North Dakota State head football coach by a few of his players. It was a scene in which character Jordan Belfort, before his Wall Street firm employees, emphatically announced “I’m staying.”
That, more than anything, secured Polasek’s belief that he did the right thing by agreeing to a new seven-year contract extension on Tuesday.
“The Leadership Council sent me that video,” he said, referring to a group of players who form the council. “It’s just cool that they had fun with it and that they did feel the same sense of relief that I did.”
