CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Public Service Commission announced Wednesday Black Diamond Power’s rates will stay the same while the commission conducts a general investigation into the utility.
“The Commission has received numerous service and billing complaints against Black Diamond, which is based in Charleston but primarily serves customers in Clay, Wyoming and Raleigh counties,” Wednesday’s release said.
The PSC previously said it had “directed the company to review its service reliability reports and correct any errors in filings made with the PSC. It told legal staff to examine and verify the company’s service reliability and make a report to the Commission on those issues by Jan. 15, 2026.”
An evidentiary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 13, 2026.
