LUMBERTON — After trailing at the half Tuesday, it was a stellar stretch of 3-point shooting that got the Lumberton boys basketball team back in front of visiting Overhills. The Pirates then held on late, earning a 58-56 win over the Jaguars.
“Shoutout to Overhills, they came out here and gave us a good look,” Lumberton coach David Strother said. “They played real hard, ran their stuff real well, but we’ll take a win no matter what. We protected home court and guys made plays down the stretch. We’ve just got to keep getting better, though.”
