COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested a Coffee County investigator in connection to incidents involving harassment and damage to property.

The GBI said in a release that they arrested Shantokeo Rolax, 41, from Douglas on Nov. 13.

They said that Rolax sent "harassing text messages, conducted surveillance, trespassed, and obstructed the investigation into who committed these acts."

They also said that the "victim had been in a relationship with Rolax" and was also a deputy with the sheriff's office.

Rolax was an investigator with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office during the investigation, the GBI said.

They said that he was initially placed on "administrative leave" by the sheriff's office while the investigation was being conducted.
