Mike Kafka has a response for President Trump.
Two days after Donald Trump criticized the Giants for not kicking a field goal while up by three points late in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions , the interim head coach responded to a question about it.
"Being in this position, you get the opportunity to make tough calls," Kafka said Wednesday. "And for me, that's awesome, I love it.
"Everyone's going to have an opinion, that's OK," he added. "I'm going to do the best I can for myself, for the team first and give us an opportunity to win the game."
With the Giants leading the Lions, 27-24, with under three minutes left, Kafka elected to go for a fourth and goal from the Lions 6 instead of attempting a short field goal that would have extended the Giants lead to six points. Need
