On Tuesday, November 25, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. presented the Community Leadership Award to Promises of Hope and Supplies for Success for their recent assistance at a Sheriff’s Office’s Back to School event.
Together, the organizations donated over 700 backpacks to the Sheriff’s Office’s school supply giveaway in August. Michael VanDenburg, founder of Promises of Hope, and Sandy Lenger of Supplies for Success accepted the November Community Leadership Award on behalf of their organizations.
