The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Los Angeles Rams star and Super Bowl champion running back Cam Akers ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Minnesota Vikings.

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Seahawks have signed the 26-year-old Cam Akers to their active roster. Akers was released by the Vikings on Saturday before their Week 12 road loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Now, Akers gets a shot at revenge against his old team.

The 8-3 Seahawks made a big move on offense ahead of the trade deadline, acquiring former New Orleans Saints star wide receiver Rashid Shaheed in a blockbuster deal. Now, they have a Super Bowl-winning running back to complement Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet in the backfield.
