PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - Two juveniles were shot in Pike County on November 25, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP Post 9 in Pikeville received a 911 call on November 25 after a report of a shooting in the Pikeville community.

Troopers went to a residence on Rays Branch, discovering two juvenile males had suffered from gunshot wounds.

KSP said an initial investigation found another male involved in the incident discharged a firearm, striking both victims.

The juveniles were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Following an investigation, one juvenile was taken into custody and lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center.

He is currently charged with assault, possession of a handgun by a minor, and tampering with physical evidence.
