KEARNS — A man and a woman were shot in Kearns early Wednesday, according to Unified police. Investigators were still searching for the shooter hours later.
Sgt. Aymee Race told KSL police responded near 5600 West and Nautilus Drive just before 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police found the woman had been shot multiple times, and the man had been hit at least once.
Race said detectives believe there is only one shooter involved, but no arrests had been made. It was unclear if police had a suspect they were looking for or if the shooter’s identity was unknown.
The violent crime unit was on scene investigating and couldn’t yet determine if the incident was gang-related.
