BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) - Residents are speaking up about dangerous driving conditions on Willis Street, a road with a reputation for speeding and reckless driving that was the site of a fatal crash last Saturday.
The crash killed a father and son.
Robert Lazarski, who lives on Willis Street, said speeding and illegal passing are common problems on the 30 mph road.
“At times I’m doing 35, maybe five miles over the speed limit, and people just blow right by me in a non-passing zone,” Lazarski said.
Another resident shared dashcam video taken the same day as the fatal crash showing a driver illegally passing them just seconds before oncoming headlights appeared around a bend.
