LITTLE ROCK, Ark — With Thanksgiving one day away, Americans are on the move in record numbers.
AAA projects 82 million people will travel for the holiday, marking the highest number the agency has ever recorded. About 73 million travelers are expected to drive to their destinations, while nearly 6 million are flying.
Clinton National Airport here in Little Rock is also preparing for its own increase in traffic. Between November 21 and December 2, airport officials expect TSA to screen more than 52,000 passengers, a 4% increase from last year.
Sunday, November 30, is projected to be the airport’s busiest day, with more than 5,300 departing travelers.
Airport officials are urging passengers to plan ahead to keep travel smooth. They recommend starting with an empty suitcase when packing
