SHREVEPORT, La. - They serve 25 blocks, hundreds of kids, and an entire neighborhood, and this month, they finally told their story.
Last week, Caddo Parish Commissioners delivered one of the most emotional tributes of the year, honoring Trey and Jasmine Moore, the husband-and-wife team who run the Community Renewal Friendship House that anchors Cedar Grove.
“I want to give all praise and honor to God… who put me in position to be where I’m at today,” said Trey Moore as he described the transformation of the neighborhood and the personal relationship-building that fuels his program:
"They accepted me as one of their own.”
He thanked Community Renewal leaders, church mentors, and his family,
“I give it back to these kids 100%.”
