Letitia James, James Comey’s Federal Charges Dismissed

A federal judge dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, ruling that the prosecutor who brought the charges, Lindsey Halligan, was unlawfully appointed. In her ruling, U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie found that Halligan’s installation as interim U.S. attorney violated federal appointment laws.
