The City of Cornwall has entered into two new agreements through its Medical Recruitment Relocation Program with doctors who intend to set up their practices at the McConnell Medical Centre over the next few weeks.

A report and related bylaws were approved by council on Monday, allowing for the city to offer forgivable loans of up to $25,000 to each physician, in order to support their relocation and startup costs, in exchange for three years of service in Cornwall.

Dr. Chloe Rozon is a bilingual obstetrician and gynecologist (OB-GYN) who recently completed her medical residency through the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital. She is set to start her practice in December, and will also hold privileges at the Cornwall Community Hospital.
