The call came in a little after 1 p.m. Tuesday, two days before Thanksgiving, that the 1750 Taphouse in Bedford was in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and no one was hurt, but the damage was done.

Now, the call has gone out to help employees put out by the fire as the Route 101 pub and eatery is rebuilt and their incomes dry up right before the holidays.

“This is an incredibly difficult time for our team. With the holidays approaching, the timing couldn’t be worse. Our staff, the friendly faces who greet you, pour your drinks, and serve your favorite meals, are now suddenly without work as we begin the long process of rebuilding,” 1750 Taphouse posted on Facebook .

Owner Louis Rylant, a Bedford resident, could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
