LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation has approved the use of historical horse racing technology for electronic table games.
HHR is a system that allows devices resembling slot machines at racetracks across the state.
During a special meeting of the KHRGC on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the state approved extending that tech for table games, things that will look like roulette, blackjack and craps.
The KHRGC said the new games will still be considered pari-mutuel wagering, which is legal in Kentucky. This means players wager against each other, pooling funds, instead of wagering against the house, which takes a small cut of all bets.
