Scottsdale guitar and flute ensemble offers intimate performances

Duo to perform 2 free concerts to kick off the holiday season

It’s been more than a decade since Alex Mack and Laura Strickland first discovered how well flute and guitar could complement each other.

Since then, the pair has performed at weddings, private parties, memorials, corporate events and more, sharing contemporary, classical and Celtic music with audiences across the Valley.

Their roots are in South Scottsdale, which inspired their name: SoSco Duo.

In the summer of 2014, Strickland and Mack were both teaching music at the same location in South Scottsdale.
