WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy has spent the last week on the political media circuit hawking his healthcare proposal.
But reporters are taking the opportunity to question Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, about his reaction to recent actions of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
As chair of the Senate Health Education Labor & Pensions committee, Cassidy helped confirm Kennedy, a prominent opponent of vaccinations. He did so based on a series of promises – several of which RFK Jr. has failed to fulfill.
A gastroenterologist, Cassidy strongly supports vaccines.
Cassidy didn’t call out Kennedy or even mention his name when the nation’s health chief canceled $500 million in funding to develop mRNA vaccines or when Kennedy ruled only the elderly and people at high risk should get the COVID
