WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy has spent the last week on the political media circuit hawking his healthcare proposal.

But reporters are taking the opportunity to question Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, about his reaction to recent actions of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

As chair of the Senate Health Education Labor & Pensions committee, Cassidy helped confirm Kennedy, a prominent opponent of vaccinations. He did so based on a series of promises – several of which RFK Jr. has failed to fulfill.

A gastroenterologist, Cassidy strongly supports vaccines.
