With Thanksgiving approaching, Americans are once again preparing for a holiday built on gratitude, tradition, and, if a new national survey is any indication, sporadic outbursts of family drama.
Researchers from Casino Ca , a gambling and comparison website, surveyed 4,000 adults across the United States and found that the average household experiences at least two arguments during the holiday. 44% of the respondents said they had witnessed someone leave the gathering in frustration.
In Oregon, the survey showed that the emotional stakes were even higher. Families here reported an average of four arguments in a single day, the highest rate in the entire country.
Oregon also had some of the highest rates of walkouts. 67% of Oregon respondents say they’ve seen a family member storm out
