SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The nation is in one of the busiest travel times of the year as and the numbers are staggering as 82 million Americans are expected to travel over the holiday period.
AAA projects that bus, train, and cruise travel will rise nearly 8.5 percent, which covers about 2.5 million travelers. Patrick from Longmeadow took the traditional car route as he drove home to western Massachusetts from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. While he was not on the road during the peak travel times on Friday, he still experienced some traffic. ”It wasn’t too bad of a ride. I was surprised. I left at a good hour.
