With a hard funding deadline now barely a month away, the Co-Operative Care Centre is determined to soldier on, with the non-profit organization behind it seeking other revenue sources.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the board of directors of the Brockville Housing Partnership, which runs the homeless shelter, questioned the way the county government rejected a recommended funding extension, and called suggestions the community can address homelessness without the shelter “pure folly.”
