A New York City man was sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted of first-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse

Nicholas McGee, 48, stabbed Kawsheen Gelzer, 38, more than 60 times and hit him with a hammer during the attack in March 2022

McGee then dismembered Gelzer and stashed the remains in his fridge and freezer

A New York City man who murdered and dismembered his acquaintance before stashing some of the remains in his fridge will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The life sentence, which does not include parole, was handed down to Nicholas McGee, 48, on Nov. 19 — about one month after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse, the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office said in a press release
