A 45-year-old man has been charged in connection with a deadly home invasion burglary in San Francisco last weekend, the district attorney’s office announced Wednesday.

Cassidy Wyatt Allen allegedly broke into a home on the 200 block of Granada Avenue Sunday afternoon and killed 38-year-old Jessica Alejandra Sanchez Landaverde, according to officials.

Allen faces one count of murder, with a special circumstance allegation that the killing was committed during a first-degree burglary, and one count of first-degree residential burglary, according to the district attorney’s office.

Allen was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon. The district attorney’s office said it would push to have him detained pending trial due to the public safety risk he poses.
