BOROUGH HALL — THE 10TH ANNUAL BROOKLYN JEWISH HALL OF FAME WILL HONOR ITS CLASS OF 2025 on Thursday, Dec. 11 at noon. The induction ceremony, taking place at Brooklyn Borough Hall’s Ceremonial Courtroom, this year will celebrate the achievements of seven Brooklynites from diverse walks of life.
“The Brooklyn Jewish Historical Initiative was created to tell the extraordinary story of the Jewish community of Brooklyn, so the world would know,” Howard Teich, BJHI founder and co-chair, told the Brooklyn Eagle when the event was inaugurated a decade ago.
The BJHI Class of 2025 honorees are (alphabetically) Emily Austin, the Hon. Simcha Eichenstein, Henry Sapoznik, Hazan Basya Schechter, Debra Schwartzben, the Hon. David Yassky and NYPD Deputy Chief Richie Taylor. They will join a roster of
