New England Patriots rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell was placed on injured reserve Wednesday and his replacement revealed some shocking news in the wake of the announcement.

Vederian Lowe has played in all 12 games this season and will make his first start of the campaign in Week 13.

The fourth-year pro started in 13 of his 14 games last season, despite suffering a torn labrum last October in Week 8 against the New York Jets.
