For many families, it just isn’t Thanksgiving without a slice of their favorite pie.

Your Alaska Link stopped by A Pie Stop in Anchorage on Thanksgiving Eve, where the bakery was buzzing with activity. Some customers arrived to pick up preorders, while others stopped in last minute hoping to snag a fresh pie off the shelves.

“I’m not from Alaska. I moved up here just under a year ago, and this is where I was told to go. This is the place to be,” said customer Heather MacNeil. “Pie is always one of the best parts. It’s like the one day you don’t have to worry about any calories or anything. So the pie will definitely be enjoyed.”
