NORRISTOWN — An Upper Salford Township man was convicted of charges he sexually abused an underage girl on multiple occasions when she was in his company at locations in Montgomery County and Philadelphia.

Lyndell A. Johnson, 63, of the 1100 block of Sumneytown Pike, was convicted in Montgomery County Court of charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child and corruption of a minor of a sexual nature in connection with multiple incidents that occurred between 2018 and 2023.

The jury, which deliberated for more than nine hours before rendering the verdict, acquitted Johnson of a charge of attempted rape.

Judge Thomas M. DelRicci, who presided over the three-day trial, deferred sentencing until a later date. DelRicci increased Johnson’s bail to $50,000 cash, and Johnson was remanded to
