RCMP say they're looking for additional victims of a suspected fraud involving timber-framed homes.
A Saskatoon man is wanted on fraud charges, accused of promising people he’d build them new homes, then vanishing once customers signed contracts and made their initial payments.
RCMP say Jason Pacik, 42, told several victims his company, Prairie Timber Group Limited, was affiliated with a well-known and trusted timber home-building company in Ontario, but there was no connection.
Police say Pacik would convince customers to sign a contract with his company, but once they put money down, he quit returning their calls and never built the homes.
He is charged with one count of fraud over $5,000 and one count of fraud under $5,000.
