DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Cold air is moving in fast, and Quad Cities homeowners are being warned not to wait for this weekend to get their homes ready.
Simple steps like sealing drafts, insulating pipes and getting furnaces checked can prevent major issues once temperatures drop. HVAC crews say early maintenance is key.
Furnace maintenance tops priority list
“It starts with maintenance. Really, you have a gas fired appliance. You have flue gases and electricity all in the same cabinet, all running for heating season. So it is good to have a professional come out,” said Kevin Waeyaert of Northwest Plumbing, Heating & AC.
