An A-road near Plymouth is blocked in both directions following a crash this evening (Wednesday, November 26).

The A379 at Modbury is currently blocked between Bridge Road and Bluegate Hill.

Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported the crash at 9.24pm.

It said: "A379 in both directions blocked due to accident from Ridge Road (Modbury) to Bluegate Hill (South Hams)."

The extent of the crash is not currently known.

Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
