Governor Mike Dunleavy has announced two new appointments to the Alaska State Senate.
Representative George Rauscher and Representative Cathy Tilton will fill vacancies left by the resignations of Senators Mike Shower and Shelley Hughes.
Governor Dunleavy praised both lawmakers, saying he couldn’t think of anyone more qualified to serve in the Senate and expressed his gratitude to local Republican district committees for their role in the selection process.
