A little more than a century ago, the first Turkey Day Classic was held in the newly constructed Cramton Bowl Stadium in Montgomery, making it one of the oldest HBCU classics in the nation.
The football game is held each Thanksgiving – with some exceptions – between rivals Tuskegee Institute, now known as Tuskegee University, and Alabama Normal School, now Alabama State University.
