A popular Birmingham Cajun catering and food truck business is about to put down solid roots.

Roll Cajun Boudin has announced it is moving into the old Iron City Grill on 22nd Street South and looks to open sometime in 2026.

In an announcement on its Facebook page, the owners say they are tentatively targeting an opening in February or March, with phases coming on-line as possible.

Iron City Grill closed more than two years ago after more than 10 years in business.

According to the business, Roll Cajun Boudin will be a “sit-down Cajun restaurant where every plate tastes like it came out of somebody’s Maw Maw’s kitchen – expect an expanded dinner menu and live music to turn your evenings into a full-on Cajun experience."
