KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Rural Metro Fire responded to a deadly crash Wednesday afternoon.

The agency said in a news release posted to social media the crash happened in the 7600 block of Neubert Springs Road in south Knox County. One person died, according to Rural Metro.

Rural Metro said the road would be closed for “an extended period of time” at 5:45 p.m.
