Visitors to Pittsburgh are amazed by the Strip District, while the locals are proud of what it offers, especially on the eve of Thanksgiving.

"It's a cultural mix. You walk over, there's this Italian market, there's this place, Asian store, middle eastern store," she says.
Penn Mac and Wholey's are two of the neighborhood's iconic markets, with Penn Mac offering more than 400 cheese selections.
"My cousins came here from L.A., and they brought a coworker with them, and we're in here, and he's filming everything. He said, 'My wife would kill for a place like this in L.A.,'" said Mary Louise Fowkes.
