SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love enters the final week of the regular season having compiled historic numbers that have put him in Heisman Trophy contention.

Love ranks third in the country with 1,306 rushing yards and third with 17 rushing touchdowns this season. The numbers become more impressive considering Love splits carries with teammate Jadarian Price.

The performance has Love in the running to be a Heisman Trophy finalist. Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, who coached 2023 Heisman winner Jayden Daniels at LSU, sees similarities between the two players.
