BOISE, Idaho — The annual Turkey Day 5K is set to take over downtown Boise on Thanksgiving morning, bringing people to the streets as families kick off the holiday together.
Crews will close several major downtown streets on Wednesday night to prepare for the event. Capitol Boulevard will shut down between Idaho and Jefferson streets, and both Bannock and Jefferson streets will close between 8th and 6th streets.
On Thursday morning, drivers can expect rolling closures along the race route. The 5K will wind through Jefferson and Bannock from Capitol Boulevard all the way to 29th Street.
