1. The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad’s Holiday Train will come to Joplin at 1 p.m. Saturday near the historic Union Depot. The CPKC Holiday Train includes an engine and train cars decorated for the season. One of the center box cars converts into a stage for a live 30-minute holiday music performance. Smash Mouth and J.J. Wilde will perform for the Joplin stop. The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train will tour Canada and the United States from Nov. 19-Dec. 21, raising money, food and awareness to support food banks across the communities it visits. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages attendees to donate monetary or heart-healthy food. Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million
