LOVELAND — A dispute over responsibility for a pool and clubhouse development in the Lakes at Centerra development in Loveland has resulted in a lawsuit among its developers and contractors.

McWhinney Real Estate Services LLC and its related company, C R Development Inc., filed a lawsuit Friday against DTJ Design Inc. and Golden Triangle Construction LLC. The lawsuit alleges that the designers and contractors of the pool failed to follow an appropriate design for the pool and the plumbing system to support it and, as a result, the pool became dysfunctional.

Residents of the Lakes at Centerra have complained about the pool, an amenity that property buyers anticipated would be part of their community and whose management fees would be assessed to properties within the subdivision.
