SHEFFIELD LAKE, Ohio — Mayor Rocky Radeff says he has abandoned his threat to pursue criminal charges against Councilman-elect Jon Morrow over a website that Morrow created and used to criticize the mayor’s performance – a threat that both Morrow and a local First Amendment expert said appeared aimed at chilling the free speech of a political rival.
The dispute centered on an online survey that Morrow created and posted on the website sheffieldlake.community, which Morrow used as his campaign site for his successful run for city council in the Nov. 4 general election.
